Devilish Chocolate Cake Choco Diavolo

Devilish Chocolate Cake - I read a book called Hellbound, it’s fiction and a wonderful read, I’m not saying this because my sister wrote it, but because I was able to understand the actions of the characters in this book, and thanks to God I did not feel their pain!

Ingredients
THE CAKE
1 ¾ cup all-purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cup sugar
2 large eggs
¼ cup milk
¼ cup sour cream
¼ cup vegetable oil
¼ cup melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup boiling water

THE CHOCOLATE FROSTING
1 cup unsalted butter melted
½ cup + 2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
6 cup confectioners sugar
5 tablespoon milk
2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions
MAKING THE CHOCOLATE CAKE
Preheat oven to 350F/180C. Grease and flour three 8” pans and line them with parchment paper.
Sift all the dry ingredients together except the sugar. Keep aside.
In a bowl, add the butter, oil, sugar, vanilla, and beat for 2 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time and beat until fluffy. Add the milk and sour cream and beat for two minutes.
Add the dry ingredients and mix until combined. Pour the boiling water into the batter and mix until you get a smooth batter. (Do not over mix here.)
Pour equal amount of the batter into the baking pans and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean.
Cool on a cooling rack while in the pan for 9 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan and place on wire rack to cool completely.
